Inspired by my trip to Paris this summer, I was enamored with this scene. Not a big surprise, as people flock to Paris each year by the millions, but the combination of back-lit gardens and the beautiful shadow patterns in the foreground that are caused by unseen trees overhead, made for an especially mesmerizing sight. I used a variety of my favorite pastels and pastel pencils on a UArt board.
