The lovely play of shadows on the door of the Leopold Shack inspired this painting. Here was a spring flower casting shadow and beauty on a sunny spring day.
I took a photo and with that and my memory I created this little gem in my studio. I did a underpainting with pastel and turpenoid wash. I drew in the image with hard pastel and then used various soft pastels to complete. Enjoy.
