Last week while hiking in a local park I came upon an old cemetery on a hillside with only a few small stone gravestones. The one in the painting was sort of off to itself and had no visible markings. The fact that the grass had been fairly recently mowed told me that these souls had not been forgotten. The upcoming anniversary of 9/11 came to mind and all of the people lost on that day but not forgotten.
