My grandma inspired this piece. She recently died from Covid and Barn Owls were always roosting in her barn and large orange poppies were scattered all around her home. I wanted to combine the two to beautifully represent what I remember of her, to physically see that memory is a blessing. This was painted with unison soft pastels on 15.5" x 12" pastelmat.
