I am a new artist (started a year ago in colored pencil) and I have found a love in pastels. They are earthy and rich and a wonderful medium for expressing! This painting "Ablaze" spoke to me with the richness of color and solidity of the bricks wall but the delicateness of the plants growing against it. I felt the power and warmth of the colors in this painting that seemed to set afire, hence the name.
