Inspiration - My son’s cat was sleeping in a ray of bright sunlight that was streaming in from a nearby window. The light reveled multiple colors in her thick dark black fur. I wanted to capture that amazing spectrum of values and also the alertness in her beautiful turquoise eyes that popped open when she was startled awake by a noise from outside.
Paper used - Canson Mi-Teintes Touch. Hard and soft pastels.
