Alan James, songwriter, performer, jewelry designer and scientist came into my life like a light in the darkness, and I have valued his friendship ever since. This effort was done from a photo taken by my daughter (with her permission). I liked the attitude of the pose and I wanted to convert it to a painting with colors of my own choosing and with the hope of conveying the energy with which he performs.
