I took this photo on my honeymoon. It was a glorious warm day in November. The family house is near the mouth of the Sassafras River where it pours into the Chesapeake Bay. The sun was going down and I loved the contrast of the bright tree against the dark clouds. I used a red watercolor underpainting and a triad color scheme - red-orange/ blue-violet/ yellow-green.
